Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

About the position

Our client is seeking an ambitious Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their Head Office in Pretoria. This opportunity is suited to a detail-oriented professional who has gained solid experience within a professional quantity surveying environment and is ready to further develop their technical and commercial expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with budgeting, cost planning and project cost reporting.
• Support the management of multiple projects simultaneously.
• Assist with quantity surveying functions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project costs and provide accurate financial information.
• Prepare and review relevant quantity surveying documentation.
• Support senior quantity surveyors with project administration and commercial activities.
• Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Meet project deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Contribute positively to a collaborative and professional team environment.

Requirements

• BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying.
• 2-3 years' experience post-graduation.
• Experience within a professional quantity surveying firm.
• Working knowledge of WinQS and DimX.
• Basic understanding of the construction process.
• Exposure to budgeting and cost reporting.
• Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive, reliable and eager to learn.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• A positive attitude with a willingness to grow professionally.
