About the position
Platform Architect
We are seeking a skilled Platform Architect to design and implement scalable platform strategies that align with our business goals. You will be responsible for leading system integration efforts, driving modernization initiatives, and providing architectural guidance across engineering teams. This is a pivotal role for a forward-thinking technologist passionate about enabling enterprise-wide innovation through robust and modern architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance platform architecture aligned with product and business strategy
- Lead the design and implementation of modern platform solutions using cloud-native and microservices architectures
- Ensure seamless integration between new and existing systems and platforms
- Drive platform modernization initiatives, including cloud migration and system refactoring
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Security, and Software Engineering, to define technical standards and best practices
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to support platform evolution
- Document architectural designs, processes, and technical standards
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5 - 8 years of experience in software architecture or platform engineering
- Proven experience designing scalable systems using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong expertise in microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and API design
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with platform observability and reliability engineering
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
