Intermediate Vendor Management
To manage the IT Infrastructure and Operations budget, procurement activities, and supplier contracts effectively. The role ensures cost control, accuracy in financial tracking, and optimal performance from IT vendors in alignment with business strategy and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Budget Management:
- Manage IT Infrastructure and Operations budgets by accurately recording, tracking, and reporting spend.
- Review supplier invoices to verify accuracy and ensure alignment with contract terms before approval.
- Deliver accurate spend forecasts, cost-to-complete estimates, and detailed budget plans including total cost of ownership and spend phasing.
- Review and authorize IT expenditure, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and timelines.
IT Procurement and Contract Management:
- Oversee the IT procurement and contract management function to ensure value delivery from IT suppliers.
- Facilitate performance, relationship, and risk management processes related to supplier contracts.
- Monitor contract operations and performance against SLAs and benchmarking standards.
- Manage cost-effective vendor relationships and maintain a well-governed contracts repository.
- Maintain a calendar of contractual deliverables and ensure timely execution by suppliers.
- Promote supplier innovation, cost reduction, and performance enhancements beyond contract terms.
- Participate or lead sourcing and tendering processes in compliance with organizational procurement policies.
- Generate and deliver periodic performance reports aligned to operating plans and medium-term goals.
- Identify systemic challenges, design alternative solutions and contingency strategies.
- Continuously seek and implement process improvements for greater operational efficiency.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, Finance, Procurement, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT financial and contract management.
- 6 years working experience.
- ITIL certification (advantageous).
