About the position
Introduction
The Intermediate DevOps Support Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the reliability, stability, and performance of customer-facing telecommunications platforms and services. This role focuses on supporting live production environments through strong DevOps practices, including monitoring, automation, CI/CD support, and infrastructure troubleshooting. The engineer acts as a bridge between support, development, and delivery teams, taking ownership of systems, resolving incidents efficiently, and driving continuous improvement across environments. Exposure to automation, security best practices, and evolving DevOps toolsets is a core part of this role.
Description
Key Accountabilities:
• Take end-to-end ownership of assigned incidents, environments, and platform components, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
• Support production and non-production environments to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, operational standards, and security requirements.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, and delivery teams to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
• Maintain system stability through proactive monitoring, automation, and preventive maintenance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across DevOps processes, tooling, AI and automation. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide DevOps-focused support for telecom platforms, applications, and infrastructure.
• Monitor system health, performance, and availability using monitoring and alerting tools.
• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and application-related issues across environments.
• Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and release activities.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and contribute to post-incident reviews and corrective actions.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
• Support environment provisioning, configuration, and maintenance.
• Ensure secure configuration, patching, and access controls are maintained.
• Document system architecture, operational procedures, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate in on-call rotations and after-hours support as required.
