Duration: 12 months contract
Salary: R13 000 pm
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and service-oriented individual to join our Broker Services team. The role focuses on providing exceptional support to brokers and intermediaries by managing insurance-related enquiries, policy administration, and maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide telephonic and email support to brokers, authorised representatives, and the broker services team.
- Handle general insurance and policy-specific enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Manage the full policy lifecycle, including new business issuance, renewals, amendments, and cancellations.
- Assist in resolving insurance queries within defined turnaround times and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Conduct follow-ups on cancelled policies to identify reasons and assist in policy retention.
- Adjust premiums in line with updated asset values or policy details.
- Manage broker and client expectations regarding service turnaround times.
- Ensure all underwriting criteria and regional requirements are met.
- Support brokers in identifying suitable products and cover options that meet clients' needs.
- Contribute to process improvements and assist in implementing service solutions.
- Provide backup support for Consultants during peak periods, absences, or leave.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: Grade 12 / Matric (Insurance or Finance qualification advantageous).
- Experience: 2+ years' experience in short-term insurance administration or broker support role.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of policy administration, underwriting, and insurance products.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication (verbal & written)
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office and insurance administration systems
