We are looking for a Project Development Specialist to join a dynamic team focused on supporting the delivery of infrastructure projects across South Africa and the broader Southern African region. About the Role As a Project Development Specialist, you will: Serve as the lead client interface, translating project ideas into structured, viable initiatives. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to refine projects and ensure they meet requirements for funding and implementation. Support project planning, preparation, and financing to enable strategic, bankable solutions. Work across sectors such as education, health, and municipal infrastructure, identifying opportunities and helping shape solutions that make a real difference. Think creatively and strategically to bring concepts to tangible results, using innovation and problem-solving to overcome project challenges. Who We're Looking For Experience: 8-10 years in project management, business development, project finance, or advisory roles (preferably in DFIs, advisory companies, or infrastructure arms of commercial banks). Skills & Attributes: Strong client engagement and stakeholder management Solutions-oriented, with the ability to understand technical aspects without being an engineer Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to coordinate multiple inputs and teams to move projects forward Strategic thinker with innovative, out-of-the-box mindset Travel: Approximately 90% within South Africa, engaging with municipalities, provinces, and state-owned entities.
