Infrastructure Services Manager at Sentech

About the position

SENTECH Operations is looking for an Infrastructure Services Manager: Southern Region to lead and manage the Infrastructure Services team within SENTECH and oversee the construction and rigging areas of focus. This role will ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of SENTECH's telecommunication infrastructure.

Qualifications:
? National Diploma/BTech/Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
? Honors Degree and project management certification will be an added advantage.

Experience:
? 8 years' experience within the telecommunications industry and 5 years in a management role.
Knowledge:
? In-depth knowledge of the South African telecommunications industry.
? Comprehensive understanding of telecommunications, managed infrastructure technologies, services and market dynamics within South Africa.
? Knowledge of South African telecommunications regulations and compliance standards.
? Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
? Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
? Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
? Excellent communication abilities.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Regional Infrastructure Services Strategy and Planning

• Develop and implement strategic plans for Regional Infrastructure Services activities.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of Regional Infrastructure Services.
• Financial Management
• Manage expenditure within the budget.
• Provide input to the department's budget.
• Manage all financial administration i.e. (payments, invoices, contracts with suppliers).
  Infrastructure maintenance
• Continuously monitor and assess the performance and capacity of the infrastructure, making recommendations for improvements
  Maintenance Competency
• Knowledge and skill to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on infrastructure.
• Innovate and improvise ways of maintaining infrastructure at the highest level.
  Civil Competency
• Knowledge and understanding of the structural design of masts; general civil works and access roads to perform relevant maintenance tasks.
  Rigging Competency
• Ability and skill to lift, sling and hoist equipment into position up to 300 metres.
• Maintenance of mast, antenna and satellite structures.
  Electrical Competency
• Knowledge and understanding of electrical infrastructure and voltage reticulation.
  Mechanical Competency
• Knowledge and understanding of the general operation and control of standby generators; heating and ventilation systems; air conditioning systems and fire systems.
  Vendor and Supplier Management
• Monitor vendor performance and enforce service-level agreements.
  Stakeholder Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Point of contact for Regional Infrastructure Services related questions raised.
  Leadership
• Lead and mentor the Regional Infrastructure Services team, providing technical guidance and support.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
