About the position
A leading organisation within the transportation and infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Manager to oversee infrastructure maintenance operations and lead a multidisciplinary technical team. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of critical infrastructure assets while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage infrastructure maintenance activities to achieve operational and performance targets.
- Develop, implement, and improve maintenance systems, processes, and procedures.
- Manage incident response, disaster recovery planning, and operational risk mitigation.
- Oversee contractor and vendor relationships, including scope definition, service delivery, and performance management.
- Manage departmental budgets, cost control initiatives, and financial performance.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across internal and external functions.
- Lead employee performance management, coaching, training, succession planning, and team development.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Drive a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Civil Engineering.
- Professional registration with ECSA.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior supervisory or management role within a railway maintenance or infrastructure environment.
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Strong understanding of maintenance operations, contractor management, budgeting, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and people management skills
