About the position
Our client is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise IT infrastructure. This role will see you shaping the infrastructure strategy, engaging with vendors and partners, and ensuring technology solutions align with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain infrastructure strategies, roadmaps, and governance frameworks.
Translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
Lead end-to-end implementation of complex IT projects across cloud and on-premises environments.
Oversee architecture reviews, technical documentation, and compliance standards.
Partner with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on design and delivery.
Act as a senior escalation point for critical technical issues and mentor across teams.
Skills & Experience Required
5+ years ICT experience with at least 3+ years in enterprise infrastructure design and delivery.
Strong knowledge of:
Microsoft Windows & Azure
AWS
Active Directory, Group Policy, Intune, Identity & Access Management
Microsoft 365 (Teams, Power BI, Power Platform, O365)
Networking (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching)
Endpoint security and compliance
Hands-on experience with:
SCCM (design, configuration, troubleshooting)
Scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash, JavaScript)
Virtual Desktop Technologies (Azure VDI, AWS Workspaces)
Cloud Management Gateways & observability tools (Grafana, PagerDuty, Instana)
Relevant IT certifications (Microsoft, AWS).
Advantageous Skills
Degree in IT or related field.
Experience with Linux, SQL, AV/Collaboration solutions (Polycom, Cisco, Teams Rooms).
Knowledge of automation and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, GitHub).
Familiarity with APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
