About the position
Requirements
- Understand the business requirement or the downstream process requirement.
- Deliver Informatica PowerCenter and Power Exchange solution implementation and support.
- Work with Data Mapper and Data modeler to define the dataflow and implement the ETL to fulfil the requirement.
- Provide L2 support in Production for Informatica PowerCenter and Power Exchange.
- Creates ETL Mappings, Mapplets, Workflows, Worklets.
- Development skills is must.
- Knowledge in SQL, writing complex queries, RDBMS.
- Knowledge in designing and developing data integrations using Informatica PWX and PC.
- Working Knowledge with Informatica PC Client Components.
- Working Knowledge in creating complex task flows, reusable components and user function.
- Good knowledge in SQL and data analysis.
- MDM Admin role and responsibilities.
Operational Delivery
- Creates ETL Mappings, Mapplets, Workflows, Worklets using Informatica PowerCenter 10.x and Power Exchange and prepare corresponding documentation.
- Designing and developing data integrations using Informatica PC.
- Knowledge of advanced concepts like partitioning, optimization, and performance tuning is advantageous.
- Good knowledge in SQL and data analysis.
- Experience with Designer, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor, and Repository Manager.
- Work with DBAs and Data Architects to plan and implement appropriate data partitioning strategy in Enterprise Data Warehouse.
- Ability to perform Standby duties.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
- Ability to identify and resolve any production issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver production quality software within tight schedules.
- Monitor all performance metrics for various production systems and identify root cause for all technical issues and recommend solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant fields.
Work Experience
- 3-4 years of experience in software development utilizing Informatica in combination with Oracle databases in a distribution system environment is preferred.
- At least 3 years of solid experience with informatica PowerCenter Power Exchange development.
- Experience with working on Oracle, MSSQL and Informatica ETL technologies.
- Good Knowledge of application design principles, systems development and analysis.
- Working Knowledge with Informatica design and development skills using Informatica power center and power exchange. (10.x preferred).
- Knowledge of Informatica architecture administration.
- Experience using Informatica development tools (designer, workflow manager, etc.).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and standards.
- Knowledge of Informatica deployment process and version control.
- Proficient with database design, SQL and stored procedures.
Technical Competencies
- Informatica PowerCenter ETL experience.
- Intimate knowledge of source systems as well as a basic understanding of dimensional models.
- Conventional database- and data warehouse modelling skills, in order to understand the data warehouse data models.
- Good knowledge of database structures/ data warehousing principles, and experience in SQL across different platforms including structured and unstructured data from various enterprise sources.
- Hands on with batch and real-time data integration patterns include ETL experience in Informatica Cloud or Informatica PowerCenter.
- Proven technical skills in data modelling, data management, data pipelines, ETL/ELT and data retention concepts and practices.
- Show a strong sense of ownership for their deliverables.
- Professional experience with application and/or production support.
