About the position

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced IR Consultant to join their growing team in Alberton. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified legal professional with a strong background in labour law and industrial relations to make a real impact.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualification: LLB Degree (essential)
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in Industrial Relations
  • Strong knowledge of South African labour law, CCMA processes, and Bargaining Council matters
  • Proven ability in legal drafting, with focus on Labour, Commercial & Contracts Law
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Must have a valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle (essential, as travel to clients will be required)
  • Proven track record of IR consulting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rendering comprehensive IR services to clients, including disciplinary hearings, grievance procedures, incapacity processes, and CCMA/Bargaining Council representation
  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, agreements, disciplinary documents, and legal correspondence
  • Advising management and clients on labour law compliance and best practice in employee relations
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Assisting in business development
