Industrial Engineer

About the position

Our client in the Pharmaceutical space is looking for an Industrial Engineer with less than 2 years experience who can demonstrate strong financial acumen.

Job Spec

Project Management

•            Oversee and manage projects across the organization.

•            Apply agile and waterfall methodologies for project implementation.

•            Conduct project impact assessments using scorecards.

•            Identify and resolve bottlenecks within project workflows.;

Business Process Improvement (KAIZEN)

•            Apply Kaizen principles to enhance business processes.

•            Serve as an internal consultant and process expert for various departments.

•            Identify business challenges and facilitate workshops to define problems.

•            Analyze and quantify issues across departments.

•            Develop and implement efficient solutions to address challenges.

•            Maintain and monitor systems where improvements have been introduced.

•            Redesign business processes to optimize efficiency, save time, and reduce resource usage.

Data Analytics

•            Develop and maintain company scorecards to track organizational and departmental goals using Power BI.

•            Conduct analysis, scenario planning, and simulations using mathematical and management accounting models.

•            Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Innovation and Research

•            Facilitate workshops for engineers and data analysts to brainstorm and share innovative ideas.

•            Automate business processes using tools like RPA (Power Automate, Power BI, Smartsheet Automation, chatbots).

•            Explore data science opportunities through machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI).

•            Research and introduce emerging technologies and 4IR (Fourth Industrial Revolution) innovations to the business.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Process Engineering.

• Certification in Management Accounting (demonstrating strong financial acumen).
• Project Management certification or training.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or knowledge.
• 0–2 years of relevant work experience.

Experience & Skills

• Proficiency in data analysis tools, particularly Power BI.
• Familiarity with project management software, such as Smartsheet.
