About the position
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controller to join their team. The Controller will report directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for implementing robust reporting systems and building a team dedicated to continuous improvement across all departments. The ideal candidate will be a young engineer with experience in continuous improvement, familiar with Kaizen systems, and possess programming skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive reporting systems to track and analyze key performance metrics.
- Lead and build a team focused on continuous improvement initiatives across all departments.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify areas for process optimization and efficiency gains.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Utilize programming skills to automate reporting and data analysis tasks.
- Drive performance improvement in the fish factory by analyzing production data, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing lean solutions.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence through the application of Kaizen principles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the seafood or food distribution industry.
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, particularly Kaizen.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL and strong understanding of relational databases
- Proven experience in authoring of PowerBI reports using advanced DAX measures
- SAP Business One experience a plus
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
