Industrial Chemicals Sales Representative
Location: Pinetown, Durban
Overview: A technically skilled Applications Sales Representative will be responsible for delivering expert solutions for chemical applications across materials such as wood, plastic, paper, cartons, and boards, develop new business and manage key client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Advisory & Product Knowledge
o Provide expert guidance on chemical applications based on specific materials
o Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor products
Sales & Business Development
Client Relationship Management
Account Management & Admin
Operations & Compliance
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric) – Essential
Tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Technical Field – Advantageous
At least 5 years' sales experience in plastics, paper & packaging, chemicals, or a related field
Proven experience managing key accounts worth R12–R14 million per annum
Strong business development and closing skills
Knowledge of water-based, solvent, and chemicals advantageous
Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
Other Requirements
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to travel regionally
Available for occasional weekend work (e.g., trade shows)
Remuneration: Package: R29,000/month (Negotiable) + Commission plus Company Vehicle, Medical Aid, Pension, 13th Cheque
