Purpose of the Job:
To streamline travel management by providing dedicated, on-site, or internal support to companies, resorts, or lodges
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a travel consultant
- Excellent understanding of travel logistics in East and Southern Africa
- Prior luxury, safari, or customized travel experience – preferred
- Demonstrated ability to quote and provide flights and transfers
- Knowledge of airline routing principles and price structures
- Mastery of Microsoft Office and travel reservation platforms
- Outstanding communication abilities both in writing and speaking
Technical Competencies & Experience:
- Calculate, reserve, modify, and oversee domestic and regional flights
- Plan charters, scenic flights, air transfers, and road transfers.
- Maintain connections with suppliers and bargain for preferred prices.
- Use commissions and margins in accordance with the predetermined pricing plan.
- Assist sales and reservations teams to increase booking conversion.
- Provide travel documents, vouchers, and confirmations.
- Take proactive measures to handle visitor disruptions, flight changes, and delays.
- Keep precise records for bookings, invoices, and reconciliations.
- Verify that every travel plan complies with brand guidelines.
- Help with travel revenue and performance reporting
- Communicate with guests in a timely, professional, and individualized manner.
- Keep correct supplier documentation, records, and confirmations.
