ICU CNS/ Shift Leader at MSP

About the position

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Critical Care nursing professional to join our client's ICU team in Johannesburg. This position is suited to a Registered Nurse with specialist Critical Care training and proven experience in a CNS or Shift Leader capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver and support the provision of high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients
• Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff
• Coordinate and oversee shift activities within the ICU
• Monitor compliance with clinical, patient safety, and infection prevention standards
• Assist with the management of complex patient care
• Support staff development and clinical competence
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and records
• Promote effective teamwork and communication within the multidisciplinary team
• Assist with maintaining efficient ICU operations

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in General Nursing
• Current registration with SANC
• Post Basic qualification in Critical Care - essential
• Previous experience as a Shift Leader and/or Clinical Nurse Specialist
• Strong critical care nursing knowledge
• Excellent clinical, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity environment
