About the position

Are you passionate about keeping networks secure, fast, and reliable? Do you enjoy troubleshooting and working hands-on with the latest IT infrastructure? We're looking for an ICT Technician: Networks (LAN) to help ensure seamless and secure connectivity for our operations.

As part of our Corporate Services Directorate, you'll support and maintain the organisation's Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure including configuring switches, routers, wireless access points, and VoIP systems. You'll work closely with the ICT Specialist: Network and Systems, helping to keep our communications uninterrupted and our infrastructure optimized.

We want a detail-oriented professional with:
A National Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
At least 1 year of experience in LAN administration and structured cabling.
Hands-on experience with network devices and protocols (Ethernet, VLANs, VPNs, etc.).
Certifications like CompTIA N+ (required), ITIL Foundation and Cloud+ (advantageous).
Knowledge of firewalls, VoIP, Wi-Fi, mobile connections, and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
