About the position
A well-established company based in Nigel is looking for an experienced ICT Support professional to join their ICT Department.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Relevant ICT Diploma or similar qualification
- Minimum 3-5 years’ corporate IT support experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and software
- Experience supporting LAN and WLAN environments
- Proven troubleshooting and technical support experience
- Valid Code B driver’s license
- Willingness to travel and sleep out when required
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, system and network issues
- Respond to service desk requests and resolve user issues within SLA requirements
- Set up new user accounts, profiles and passwords
- Replace faulty hardware components where required
- Support the rollout of new applications and system updates
- Maintain ICT documentation and hardware/software registers
- Obtain quotations for ICT-related repairs and replacements
- Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment
- Test and evaluate new technologies
- Provide user support and technical reporting
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal users and third-party service providers
