About the position
Key Performance Areas:
Implementation, maintenance, and optimization of physical and virtual server infrastructure
Racking, cabling, and configuring physical servers, storage, and networking equipment.
This includes managing power distribution units (PDUs) and ensuring proper, organized cabling
Installing, upgrading, and patching server operating systems (Windows Server)
Optimize performance, manage server capacity, and configure virtualization solutions like VMware or Hyper-V
Applying security configurations, performing vulnerability scanning, and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations
Creating and updating documentation regarding system configurations, network diagrams, and incident reports
Tracking inventory, documenting server configurations, and managing vendor relationships for repairs and maintenance
Developing and maintaining backup and recovery solutions to prevent data loss
Providing leadership in the alignment of the ICT and business strategy ensuring that the company gains full value from its investment in IT services and its people
Minimum Education and Experience:
National Certificate Matric Grade 12
BCOM in Commerce and IT Management Degree
Microsoft Certified: Solutions Associate (MCSA)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
Cyber Security Certificate
Prince 2 Project Management
ITIL Service Management Foundation
MNE (Master Network Engineer) Diploma
ANE (Associate Network Engineer) Diploma
5 years of management experience
