What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it) Take ownership of the operations and maintenance of a newly commissioned hybrid renewable energy facility combining Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You'll oversee outsourced O&M contractors, manage HV/MV operations, plant safety, maintenance planning, CMMS, budgets, compliance, warranty management and stakeholder reporting while ensuring exceptional plant performance. You'll enjoy seeing the direct impact of your leadership as you establish operational best practice from the ground up on one of South Africa's flagship renewable energy projects. What you'll need A National Diploma (minimum NQF 6) in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with 10+ years' experience in power generation, electrical infrastructure or renewable energy operations. Strong knowledge of substations, overhead lines, O&M best practices, HV/MV systems, Health & Safety compliance, CMMS and contractor management is essential. Experience with Solar PV, BESS, SCADA and GMR appointments will be advantageous, together with excellent leadership and communication skills.
