About the position
Background:
- Excellent career opportunity for a Generalist HR Officer within the manufacturing sector to execute day-to-day transactional and operational HR functions
Minimum Requirements:
- Essential - National Diploma (NQF 6) in Human Resources Management
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in HR Management / Industrial Psychology / Industrial Relations
- Advantageous: Honours Degree or Postgraduate Qualification in HR / IR / IP
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant HR experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated hands-on experience administering all People Modules within Sage 300, with a strong focus on data accuracy, compliance, reporting, and integration with payroll processes
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job adverts, shortlisting, interviews, and appointments
- Ensure all vacancies are filled within agreed turnaround times
- Maintain accurate employee documentation and onboarding records
- Coordinate and facilitate performance reviews for factory and office-based employees
- Ensure performance documentation is completed accurately and submitted timeously
- Support the execution of training plans and schedules
- Assist with skills development administration, WSP/ATR data collection, and training records
- Ensure training data integrity for reporting and audits
- Manage disciplinary and grievance processes in line with company policy and labour legislation
- Prepare and represent the Company at CCMA and Bargaining Council proceedings when required
- Act as liaison between Management, Unions, and Bargaining Councils
- Ensure accurate submission of HR documentation to payroll within agreed deadlines
- Assist with wage-related queries and employee benefit administration
- Ensure compliance with collective agreements
- Participate in the Employment Equity Committee and support EE reporting requirements
- Assist with BBBEE audit preparation and supporting documentation
- Ensure ongoing compliance with labour legislation and statutory requirements
- Compile and submit monthly HR reports, including: Headcount and movement, EAP analysis, Equity and compliance reporting
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness
