Head of Human Resources
The Head of Human Resources is the senior-most people management authority within client, responsible for designing and implementing an integrated human resources strategy that supports the firm's consulting mandate, business growth objectives, and organisational culture. Reporting directly to the Executive Chairman, the Head of Human Resources leads a focused HR function comprising a Senior Consultant: Talent Management and Training and an HR Administrator

Your main responsibilities will be:
- Designing and implementing the HR Strategy and structure aligned to overall client strategy.
- Management, development and resourcing of an effective HR team to meet business strategy.
- Providing valuable input and expertise to business in terms of employment legislation, labour law, policies and practices.
- Ensure consistency of application of HR policies and procedures and update HR policies as required via the Policy Committee.
- Maintaining a strong focus on employee relations, performance management, employee engagement and retention activities, including alignment of compensation and benefits to both internal and external markets.
- Management of the Client Learnership Academy and relevant membership programmes.
- Design and implementation of the Client Career Development Framework in support of the Client Learnership programme and Leadership Development programme.
- Design the Workforce planning framework and ensure alignment to overall business strategy and talent acquisition strategies.
Requirements
Minimum Educational Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial / Organisational Psychology, or Business Administration, registered with SAQA.
- An Honours degree or Master's degree (MBL, MBA, or MCom in HRM / Industrial Psychology) would be advantageous
- Registration as a Master HR Professional (MHRP) or Chartered HR Professional (CHRP) with the South African Board for People Practices
- (SABPP) is required, or demonstrable commitment to obtain such registration within 12 months of appointment.
- Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years' progressive and proven HR experience, of which at least 3 years must have been at a senior strategic HR
- leadership level.
- Demonstrated experience within a professional services, consulting, financial services, or knowledge-economy firm is strongly preferred, given the unique talent dynamics of a consulting workforce.
- Proven track record of designing and executing HR strategies that are directly linked to business growth, client delivery, and organisational
- capability-building.
- Solid experience advising Executive Committees, Boards, and senior leadership on complex people management matters.
