Duties:
Strategic Alignment
Align People and Culture strategies with business goals and help implement them across the unit
Planning and Implementation
Create an annual People and Culture plan that supports business objectives and the NRF strategy
Business Insight
Work with leaders to understand people-related trends that affect business strategy
Strategic Support
Actively contribute to strategic discussions and provide input based on business knowledge
Leadership Support
Advise and support senior leaders on people and organizational development matters
Organizational Design
Conduct assessments and help design structures and operating models, with guidance from the team
Relationship Building
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs
People Management Guidance
Support and guide leaders on managing people effectively
Coordination with HR Functions
Act as a link between the business and HR Centers of Excellence
Service Delivery
Ensure good collaboration between business units and HR for effective service delivery
Employment Equity
Promote and support Employment Equity initiatives and compliance
Performance Management
Help leaders set and achieve performance goals and development plans
Learning and Development
Align training programs with business goals and performance needs
Talent Management
Support talent planning and succession with business leaders
Recruitment Support
Partner with senior leaders to fill key roles
Change Management
Lead change initiatives within the business
Employee Value Proposition
Ensure people policies support a strong and attractive employee experience
Union Relations
Maintain good relationships with employees and unions
Budget Management
Manage the People and Culture budget effectively
Reporting
Prepare and share monthly and quarterly HR reports with senior leadership
HR Data Management
Ensure accurate and reliable HR data
Monitoring HR Practices
Regularly check that HR practices are effective and aligned with standards
Leadership and Coaching
Lead by example, mentor HR team members and promote strong leadership practices
Team Culture
Encourage accountability, teamwork and high performance
Talent Development
Help Managers grow their teams and retain top talent
Policy Consistency
Make sure HR policies are applied consistently across the business
Legal Compliance
Represent the business in CCMA matters when needed
