Officer: Human Capital Management (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)
About the Role
A leading national conservation and tourism organisation is seeking an experienced Officer: Human Capital Management to provide comprehensive HR support and ensure effective implementation of human capital policies, systems, and processes. The position is based in Groenkloof, Pretoria.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation of HCM policies, procedures, and systems.
- Maintain the integrity of employee data and records on SAGE 300 and related HR systems.
- Provide guidance on HR processes, policies, and compliance matters.
- Administer employee benefits, leave, and medical aid/pension fund processes.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new employees.
- Manage HR documentation, including transfers, promotions, and exits.
- Support learning, development, and employee wellness initiatives.
- Advise on labour relations matters and participate in disciplinary processes.
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual HR reports.
- Supervise and develop HR Clerks, Interns, and temporary staff where applicable.
Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma in Human Resource Management or an equivalent qualification.
- 2-4 years' experience in a similar HR role, with at least 2 years in a clerical capacity.
- Knowledge of HCM systems (e.g. SAGE 300), labour legislation, and HR best practices.
- Experience in the conservation, tourism, or hospitality sector is an advantage.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR data management.
