About the position
Our client is seeking an experienced Training & Skills Development Specialist to coordinate companywide training, identify skills gaps and support employee development. The role also covers skills development reporting, Employment Equity, BBBEE administration and HR systems.
Key Responsibilities
Identify training needs through skills audits, gap analyses and consultation with department heads.
- Develop and coordinate training programmes, including technical training, induction, leadership development and mandatory training.
- Source suitable training providers, develop in-house training material where required and evaluate training effectiveness.
- Coordinate learnerships, internships and work-integrated learning programmes through to completion.
- Assist with training budgets and ensure the effective use of training funds.
- Act as the company's registered Skills Development Facilitator (SDF).
- Submit annual Workplace Skills Plans (WSP) and Annual Training Reports (ATR), and manage mandatory and discretionary grant applications.
- Draft and monitor Employment Equity plans, prepare annual EEA2 and EEA4 reports and participate in quarterly EE committee meetings.
- Coordinate information for annual BBBEE certification, maintain supporting records and manage social responsibility contributions.
- Maintain the Workday Learning Management System and training records on SAGE300.
- Support talent management, succession planning, career development and performance management.
- Maintain SACNASP registration records and provide accurate monthly HR and training reports.
- Support global organisational learning initiatives.
- Assist with updating company policies, procedures and the employee handbook.
Minimum Requirements
Matric.
- HR Degree or Diploma.
- At least 5 years' HR experience.
- Valid Code 08/EB driver's licence.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of HR Premier or VIP systems is essential.
- Knowledge of Employment Equity and Skills Development Facilitation is essential.
- Working knowledge of current labour legislation.
- Ability to perform reconciliations for budgeting purposes.
- Salary processing experience and knowledge of BEE would be advantageous.
