About the position
HR OFFICER
Killarney Gardens
TO START ASAP
My client within the Sales and Distribution of Plastic products industry is seeking to employ a HR Officer.
You will be looking after 30 staff members within the company
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Payroll on Paytime
- Supporting the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
- Providing counselling on policies and procedures
- Preparing job descriptions for staff members
- The goal will be to provide excellent assistance and support to employees and managers.
- Develop training and development programs if needed for current staff members
Assist in performance management processes - Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
- Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
- Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
Requirements
- Proven experience as HR officer, administrator or other HR position
- Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
- Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures (unionized)
- Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HR MS is a plus / Strong Excel essential
- Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
- Strong ethics and reliability
- Relevant HR Diploma ideal
- 3 - 5 years working experience in HR within a manufacturing industry essential (This is not corporate)
- English & Afrikaans
- Own reliable transport
