About the position
Your next HR role shouldn't just be another job. It should be somewhere you can grow your career while helping a business do the same. Is this you? You're an HR generalist who enjoys rolling up your sleeves while thinking a few steps ahead. You know that great HR isn't about putting out fires all day. It's about creating the systems, processes and culture that stop those fires from happening in the first place. Comfortable working across warehouse and office environments, you build credibility with management and employees alike. You're commercially minded, pragmatic and see yourself as a business partner who enables performance. What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it) This is the company's first dedicated HR appointment, giving you the opportunity to build the function from the ground up. The company has just over 100 employees with majority warehouse employees. You'll partner closely with leadership to move the business from reactive HR to proactive people management by implementing performance management frameworks, recruitment processes, onboarding programmes, succession planning, training initiatives and employee engagement strategies. You'll oversee employee relations, disciplinary processes, labour law compliance, HR policies and procedures, while helping shape long-term workforce planning and diversity strategies. You'll have the ability to introduce meaningful improvements, build capability across the business and grow into a trusted HR business partner as the company continues to expand. Where you'll be doing it You will join a growing FMCG international business that is growing phenomenally, known for its fast-paced environment, strong team culture and commitment to internal development. The office offers a supportive setting where people pitch in and collaboration is high. Based in Observatory and this is a Monday to Friday role, after probation, 1 day work from home with slightly flexible working hours. What you'll need Ideally you have a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field but we're also open to looking at someone that has relevant experience with Matric. We're looking for someone with 5-7 years' HR generalist experience within manufacturing, FMCG, logistics or another environment supporting both blue-collar and office-based employees. You'll bring experience in IR, performance management, employee relations, labour law, HR compliance and developing people processes rather than simply maintaining them. We're needing someone that can take on the EE reporting and be fully skilled in the BCEA and LRA. Most importantly, you'll be someone who wants to grow with the business, enjoys taking ownership and can balance empathy with commercial thinking. You will be required to have a car and valid driver's licence. What you'll get Based in stunning new offices with a dedicated lunch room where a delicious lunch is served daily and fresh fruit and breakfast options as well. You'll receive a basic salary, medical insurance and pension after 6 months and a few enjoyable lifestyle perks such as a monthly visit by the chiropractor. There are often team building events and training. You're joining an international brand that is taking the world by storm and they're growing. How to apply Please apply directly on the job portal.
