About the position
A well-established multinational corporate is seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused HR professional to join their Johannesburg branch. This is a broad, hands-on role spanning the full HR function — from payroll coordination and employee records to recruitment, employee relations, and HR projects. Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day HR operations, administration, and employee records on HRIS/HRMS platforms
- Coordinate payroll inputs with outsourced payroll providers — absences, leave, bonuses, and adjustments
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment: job postings, candidate communication, interview scheduling, and onboarding
- Serve as liaison between management and employees; handle queries, grievances, and disciplinary matters
- Prepare and process HR documentation — recruitment, training, performance, and compliance reports
- Coordinate HR projects including training sessions, surveys, and MEA Bloc HR alignment initiatives
- Support Corporate Administration management and general office operations
- Travel internationally on an ad-hoc basis where required
What We're Looking For
- Relevant Degree or equivalent qualification in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years' HR and payroll administration experience in a corporate environment (G2 level) or 8+ years for senior consideration (G3 level)
- Solid knowledge of South African labour law and HR best practices
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS/HRMS systems
- Strong organisational skills, high attention to detail, and a commitment to confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of management
