HR Manager - Insurance & Financial Services
Our client, a fast-paced and high-performing insurance and financial services company, is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the HR function, drive people strategy, and ensure compliance within a regulated environment. This role requires a hands-on, resilient HR professional with strong leadership and a solid understanding of industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition initiatives
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies aligned with regulatory requirements
- Drive employee engagement, culture-building, and performance management programmes
- Oversee employee relations, manage complex HR matters, and provide guidance to leaders
- Facilitate grievances, disciplinary hearings, and represent the company at CCMA
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation and financial services regulations
- Support organisational development, succession planning, and change management
- Oversee payroll support, benefits administration, and HR information systems
- Provide strategic HR insights and reporting to executive leadership
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in HR management (insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries advantageous)
- Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7) in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field
- Experience working with HR systems such as SAGE
- Strong understanding of labour law, compliance, and regulatory standards
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Capability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational work
