HR Manager
This opportunity is not a remote/hybrid working position and requires a dedicated full-time resource at the office - Monday to Friday

A privately owned business, established in 1997 to focus on the manufacturing of merchandising display systems for the advertising market. Over the years, innovation and product development has seen the company expand their product offering to include a wide range of retail and POS solutions.
The Position: We're looking for an HR Manager with knowledge in MEIBC Council. The pay range on offer is R45 000.00 to R50 000.00 CtC Package Per Month.

Requirements:
- Completed Matric
- Completed BCom in HR Management Degree or similar
- Extensive knowledge working with the MEIBC (Metal & Engineering Industries Bargaining Council)
- Extensive knowledge working with the FBC (Furniture Bargaining Council)
- Must be South African with a valid South African ID
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time
- Work under pressure and very tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Technical understanding with a Manufacturing background
- 8+ years in a similar HR role
Responsibilities:
- Handle all bargaining council (MEIBC + FBC) matters and process for the company and be a subject matter expert on Mediation, Conciliation and Arbitration issues
- Implement project plan outlines
- Providing input and advice to Managing Directors on all Human Resources - industry level and legislative level
- Direct all Human Resource functions including recruitment, hiring, training, on-boarding and employee relations and disciplinaries
- Ensured compliance to human resource policy, employee benefits and employment laws at both industry and legislative level
- Represented employer in bargaining council and CCMA hearings
- Engage with employees/management to ensure appropriate representation in the skills development and Employment Equity committees
- Spearhead various bargaining council and client audit initiatives to ensure compliance
- Oversee employee relations, time sheets and incentive pay, staffing, management development as well as health and safety elements
- Lead the planning and day-to-day operations of human resource functions with specific focus on Employee Relations, Industrial Relations and managing all aspects of compensation, employee benefits and remuneration for the company
- Lead, direct and manage the labour/employee relations functions by implementing programs that support a good industrial relations environment
- Handle all bargaining council (MEIBC + FBC) matters and process for the company and be a subject matter expert on Mediation, Conciliation and Arbitration issues
- Processing payroll across 3 various companies - collect timesheets, calculate wages and prepare paychecks
- Calculating benefits - calculating benefits, tax deductions, commissions and allowances
- Preparing reports - prepare payroll reports, tax declarations and financial statements
- Resolving issues - investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies, such as late payments and overlooked bank holidays
- Maintaining records - maintaining accurate payroll records and documentation
- Ensuring compliance - ensuring compliance with regulations related to payroll, taxes and benefits
- Answering questions - answering employee questions about payroll, wages and deductions
- Participating in audits - participating in payroll audits
