HR Generalist

An exciting opportunity is available for a proactive and people-focused HR Generalist to join the HR team of a highly regarded luxury hotel group in Cape Town.
This is a dynamic role offering broad exposure across recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, HR administration and employee engagement. It is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is looking to further develop their career while making a meaningful contribution to the employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the full recruitment process, including candidate shortlisting, interviews, background checks and onboarding
- Assist with employee relations and disciplinary processes alongside the HR Business Partner
- Collaborate with the HR Administrator on HRIS updates, payroll inputs, UI19 forms and salary schedules
- Participate in workforce planning and employee engagement initiatives
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures
- Assist with HR process improvements and various HR projects
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee information and documentation
- Provide effective day-to-day HR support across the organisation
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
- 2–4 years of relevant HR experience, preferably within hospitality or a large service environment
- Sound knowledge of HR processes and South African labour legislation
- Experience working with HR systems and processes
- SAGE 300 People experience will be advantageous
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent planning and organisational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- High level of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks
