POSITION: Human Resources Executive
REPORTING TO: Managing Director
Hire Resolve's Client is seeking to hire a Human Resources Executive to join their team in Germiston, Johannesburg. To develop, align, and implement a comprehensive and integrated human resources strategy that supports the overall business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProcess & Governance
- Design, document, and continuously improve HR processes, policies, and guidelines.
- Develop and execute people-related business strategies.
- Implement and manage BBBEE scorecard compliance.
- Optimize business practices and benchmark performance metrics against industry standards.
- Ensure alignment of HR practices with business strategy, operating models, and regulatory compliance.
- Facilitate effective communication and management of business practices and competency frameworks.
- Act as a strategic HR business partner to leadership and operational teams.
- Ensure full compliance with labour-related legislation including BCEA, EEA, LRA, OSHA, and NBCRFLI requirements.
Financial Management- Lead HR budgeting processes and manage costs effectively.
- Identify and report on cost-saving initiatives.
- Oversee payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage recruitment within approved budgets and organizational policies.
- Monitor and control expenditure related to temporary employment services.
People Management- Implement and manage strategies for talent acquisition, recruitment, onboarding, retention, and succession planning.
- Drive performance management through established systems and continuous feedback.
- Ensure proactive management of employee and labour relations, ensuring legal compliance and internal policy adherence.
- Coordinate workplace skills planning and annual skills development reporting to relevant bodies.
- Provide professional HR advice and operational support to management and staff.
- Champion and lead change management efforts across the organization.
- Support internal communication and engagement strategies, particularly for projects and staff initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Experience: 5–8 years in a senior HR leadership role, with a minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a unionized environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
- Advanced PowerPoint presentation skills.
- Excellent business writing and executive communication skills.
- Strong project management and deadline compliance capabilities.
- Personal Attributes:
- Strong team player and relationship builder.
- Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
- Clear criminal record; must be a South African citizen.
- Preferred:
- Working knowledge of the logistics or courier services industry
