About the Role
The People Administrator will provide essential HR and administrative support throughout the employee life cycle, from onboarding to offboarding. You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate employee data, managing HR documentation, and supporting the broader People Team in delivering an exceptional employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage new starter documentation, contracts, and onboarding processes.
- Maintain and update employee records on the HR system, ensuring data integrity and compliance with the POPI Act.
- Provide first-line support for employee HR queries and coordinate with payroll to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and manage HR reports including headcount, leave, and turnover metrics.
- Support HR processes such as performance management, IR administration, and training records.
- Assist with recruitment coordination - scheduling interviews, processing verification checks, and preparing offer documents.
- Provide administrative support for learning and development initiatives, WSP/ATR reporting, and leadership development projects.
- Contribute to internal communications, employee engagement initiatives, and HR policy updates.
Requirements
- Grade 12 with a Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an HR or People administrative role.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and exposure to HR systems (Sage 300 advantageous).
- Knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EEA, and general HR best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and multitasking ability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, proactive attitude.
