Main Responsibilities:
- Assist housekeeping by supplying rooms with clean linen, towels, and supplies, and collect dirty laundry and other relevant items.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks, including carpet cleaning, window washing, mattress cleaning, high dusting, and polishing furniture and curtain rails.
- Assist with setting up guest rooms with special amenities or decorations for special occasions.
- Ensure mini bars are correctly stocked and recorded.
- Set up in-room bar trolleys according to menu lists, including required serving equipment such as corkscrews and coasters.
- Assist with transporting housekeeping staff to various areas via golf carts
- Perform rotational cleaning duties, including public areas, and ensure all furnishings, facilities, and equipment are in good repair.
- Assist with moving furniture where required and perform additional duties such as porter assistance.
- Assist with dispatching and receiving outsourced laundry and related functions.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by responding to requests and enquiries courteously and efficiently.
- Adhere to and maintain Health and Safety standards.
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a luxury hotel or similar environment
- Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and methods
- Good communication and comprehension skills
- Strong attention to detail
- High standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all times
- Personal and professional integrity
Inherent Requirements:
- Matric Certificate
- Good communication skills in English
- High level of physical endurance
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work shifts, including night shifts
- Preference given to candidates from Franschhoek and neighbouring areas
