About the position

Postion Summary:
Provide housekeeping to SKAO and SARAO. Ensure the offices is kept in a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily cleaning of main offices, meeting rooms, lecture rooms, toilets, laboratories, kitchen, and tea-roomAssisting with venue cleaning after official events/functionsAssisting with stock take of cleaning materials, main kitchen and accommodation facilities kitchen and other items within the facilities not limited to linen, etc
• Assist with catering (including steward/waiter service) during official events/functionsAssisting with the preparation and presentation of food and refreshments at official events/functionsAssisting with venue preparation/setup for official event/ functionsEnsuring worksheets are kept up to dateAll other related duties to this role

Minimum Qualification:

• Grade 12 / Senior Certificate / National Certificate / Vocational 4 /N3 N4 N5/ NQF 4

Minimum Experience:

• 2-3 years

• 2 Year housekeeping & assisting catering services in an office environmentGrade 10

Experience:

• Dealing with caterers Preparing foodWorking with chemicalsWorking with staff on all levels

Knowledge:

• Working with household chemicals Stock controlCleaning officesGeneral securityUnderstanding the office environment
