About the position
The Hotel/House Manager plays a central role in creating a welcoming, well-managed, and professional living environment for students. Acting as the face of the residence, this individual ensures that operations are conducted to the standards of a high-end hotel, blending hospitality, operations, and facilities management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel management and be able to apply those principles within the context of a premium student residence. This includes maintaining exceptional cleanliness, service quality, and operational efficiency while fostering a supportive, world-class living experience for residents.
Key Responsibilities
Student Engagement & Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for all student inquiries, concerns, and requests.
- Provide guidance and information regarding residence facilities, rules, and services.
- Foster a supportive, approachable, and professional atmosphere within the residence.
Operations & Inspections
- Conduct regular walkthroughs to monitor cleanliness, safety, and maintenance.
- Report and escalate maintenance issues to relevant contractors or teams.
- Follow up on outstanding repairs to ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure communal spaces such as lounges, kitchens, laundry areas, and study rooms are clean, functional, and welcoming.
Cleanliness & Standards
- Oversee housekeeping standards and perform spot checks to ensure hotel-level cleanliness.
- Coordinate with cleaning staff to ensure schedules are adhered to.
- Monitor and enforce hygiene and safety protocols.
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain logs of student issues, maintenance requests, and inspections.
- Provide regular reports to management on residence operations.
- Assist with check-ins, check-outs, and room inspections at the start and end of lease periods.

- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends when required.
