About the position
Introduction
We are looking for an experienced Hospitality Systems Consultant to join our team and provide high-quality implementation, installation, configuration, training and operational support for Micros products within the hospitality and restaurant environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting projects from implementation through to go-live and post-go-live support, while ensuring that all activities are completed accurately, on time and in line with approved standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain and support assigned Micros products, including Simphony and Inventory.
- Review project scopes, plans, menus, inventory data and implementation requirements before project commencement.
- Conduct site-readiness checks and assist with hardware staging, testing and configuration.
- Verify hardware received against delivery documentation and escalate discrepancies or issues.
- Complete database configuration, testing and sign-off activities.
- Prepare training environments and deliver training to management, front-of-house, back-of-house and staff.
- Provide installation, go-live, live-cover and post-go-live support.
- Maintain accurate project, support, training and sign-off documentation.
- Log, manage and follow up on support calls and implementation tasks within agreed timelines.
- Troubleshoot software, configuration, hardware, peripherals and basic network-related issues.
- Escalate technical issues, project risks, delays and site-readiness concerns appropriately.
- Assist with help desk, standby and operational support duties when required.
- Follow approved change management, quality assurance, implementation and client sign-off processes.
- Provide professional and effective client service throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements- Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent.
- 3–5 years' operational experience within a restaurant, hospitality or Point-of-Sale environment.
- Essential: Practical Micros system experience and product knowledge.
- Knowledge of Micros Simphony and Inventory.
- Working knowledge of Oracle/Micros products such as Reporting & Analytics, Inventory, Labor and Summit will be advantageous.
- An A , N , CCNA or IT Diploma will be advantageous.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
- Reliable cell phone and ability to remain contactable during scheduled project, operational and standby activities.
- Willingness to work weekends, public holidays and after hours when operationally required.
- Ability to participate in help desk and standby duties.
