HIGH SCHOOL MATHS TUTOR - (REMOTE, EVENINGS)

About the position

ENVIRONMENT:

Our client, a reputable online tutoring service committed to delivering high-quality academic support to students across the UK, seeks a passionate High School Maths Tutor (Not Negotiable) with a minimum of 4-6 years proven experience. The ideal candidate must have some sales experience along with being a qualified teacher holding a Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed.).

 

The company provides personalized one-on-one tutoring in a wide range of subjects, helping students achieve their academic goals through expert instruction and customized learning plans. This is a remote, online position, where you will teach students based in the UK via Zoom, offering academic guidance during flexible evening hours. This role is ideal for educators looking to supplement their income or those seeking part-time remote work.

 

DUTIES:

• Deliver engaging and personalized online tutoring sessions tailored to students' needs.
• Assess students’ progress and adapt teaching strategies to improve learning outcomes.
• Create a positive, supportive learning environment to encourage student participation.
• Utilize online platforms and tools effectively to deliver lessons (e.g., Zoom)
• Leverage sales experience to promote additional tutoring services and foster student engagement.
• Maintain communication with students and parents, providing updates on progress and challenges.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications –

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.)

Experience/Skills –

• 4-6+ years of experience in teaching or tutoring Maths (High school only up to Grade 12).
• Prior experience in Tutoring or Teaching, especially in an online setting, is highly desirable.
• Some sales experience (e.g., upselling educational services, consulting on additional tutoring needs).
• Strong command of the subject matter with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Essential to be computer literate, using platforms like Zoom.
• Proficiency in digital tools and platforms for remote teaching.
• Access to a reliable computer and a stable internet connection.
