Internal Advert - Manager: Healthcare Provider Relations

The position of Manager: Healthcare Provider Relations is vacant. The Manager: Healthcare Provider Relations will report directly to the Senior Manager: Networks and Provider Relations and form part of the Healthcare Management division. The position is based at the Head Office in Pretoria.

The remuneration package for this position is R 1 386 956 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Manager: Healthcare Provider Relations will be required to provide support to the Senior Manager: Networks and Provider Relations through the implementation of the following Key Performance Areas (KPAs):

• Support the Senior Manager: Networks and Provider Relations by coordinating and monitoring all activities related to the Scheme's Primary and Specialists Networks inclusive of management of the Managed Care Organisations that are contracted by the Scheme.
• Participate in the review and submission of network reports.
• Provide substantiated commentary on the quality of network services and provider compliance to the Scheme network agreements.
• Represent the Healthcare Management Division at SPN and Stakeholder Engagements and promote network participation by healthcare providers.
• Provide substantiated commentary on the quality of network services and provider compliance with Scheme network agreements.
• Provide periodic reports relating all stakeholder engagements to the Senior Manager: Networks and Provider Relations.
• Perform a secretariat function for the provider relations engagements.
• Support other Scheme Division's in managed care activities.
• Fulfil various stakeholder engagements as directed by the Chief Healthcare Officer.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualification requirements are:

• Diploma/Degree at NQF level 6 in Clinical Sciences or related fields.
• A minimum of 5 years work experience in the healthcare funding/medical scheme industry with at least 3 years at a supervisory level.
• Experience in healthcare networks and provider relations is essential.
• Demonstrate ability in the development and presentation of management reports.
• Sound Quantitative and qualitative analysis skills with the ability to manage priorities.
• Have sound planning and project management skills.
• Have a diligent work ethic with attention to detail.
• Have the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Be responsible and reliable.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Be a self-starter.
• Computer literacy and MS Office skills.
