About the position
Position: Health and Safety Officer
Location: Site-based in the Karoo (Head Office in Gauteng)
Type: Permanent
Salary: R14,000 – R17,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
Benefits: Food, accommodation, and PPE provided
Our client, a leader in solar energy solutions, is seeking a qualified and experienced Health and Safety Officer for a site-based role in the Karoo. This is a permanent opportunity to work on a high-impact renewable energy project.
Key Requirements:
- SACPCMP Registration (mandatory)
- Legal Liability Certification
- Construction Regulations Certification
- HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment)
- Incident Investigation Certification
- SAMTRAC Qualification
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations on site
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety inspections
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Promote a culture of safety awareness among site personnel
- Maintain accurate safety records and reports
