About the position

Postion Summary:
The purpose of this position is to facilitate, implement, maintain and monitor adherence to the SHEQ Management System to ensure compliance with the site, client-specific and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitating, Inspecting, implementing and Coordinating of SARAO Health and Safety policies and procedures at SARAOSupporting the Implementation of Environmental Policies and ProceduresFacilitating and coordinating Occupational Health and Safety Management Practices and Safety Committees Conducting of safety inspections and enforce SHEQ regulations within SARAO, sites, infrastructures and facilitiesConducting SHEQ AwarenessInvestigating workplace SHEQ incidents Facilitating Risk Management and Emergencies Facilitating Occupational Health and Safety Training and Administration

Minimum Qualification:

• Diploma / Advanced Certificate / NQF 6

Minimum Experience:

• 3-3 years

• ND: Diploma safety managementSAMTRAC Certification (Advantageous)3 years’ practical experience as a Health and Safety officer Driver’s LicenseRegistration member Professional body (SACPCMP) as CHSOComputer Literacy

Experience:

• Proven experience in maintaining ISO accreditation and auditingProven experience in auditing, inspection, monitoring, coordinating, processes and procedures

Knowledge:

• Working knowledge of the OHS Act legislation, construction regulations, and relevant ISO StandardsTechnical report writingAuditing safety processesMonitoring RisksIncidents investigationsSHEQ trainingSHEQ awareness
