About the position
Are you a SAMTRAC-certified Health & Safety professional with a passion for creating a safe and compliant work environment? Do you have experience in the FMCG industry and a keen eye for risk management? If so, we want to hear from you!
Reputable concern based in Cape Town has gone to market for a Health & Safety Officer on a permanent basis.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Implementing and maintaining health & safety policies and procedures in line with OHSACT and FMCG industry standards.
- Conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and compliance inspections.
- Investigating workplace incidents and ensuring corrective actions are in place.
- Training employees and promoting a strong safety-first culture.
- Ensuring the business meets all legal and regulatory requirements related to workplace safety.
What We’re Looking For:
- SAMTRAC certification (essential).
- 3-5 years of Health & Safety experience in the FMCG industry.
- Strong understanding of occupational health & safety legislation and compliance.
- Experience in risk assessment, audits, and incident investigation.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
