About the position

A retail client is looking to for a Health & Safety Officer to drive and implement health and safety protocols. The role includes:

  • Establishing the necessary documentation and procedures to ensure a fully compliant and comprehensive safety file (including critical elements such as fire prevention and evacuation procedures)
  • Conducting weekly inspections
  • Organising and leading monthly SHE Rep meetings
  • Delivering weekly tool box talks
  • Enforcing and improving PPE where necessary
  • Overseeing maintenance programmes and planning for the factory
  • Assisting in ensuring that all premises meet the required safety compliance standards
  • Review Safety File from contractors
  • Prepare monthly reporting on initiatives, problem areas and recommendations
  • Proven track record with 5 years in Health & Safety
