About the position

Head School of Law:
The Head of Law School will be required to lead the strategic and operational management of the Law School, ensuring high quality delivery.
Responsibilities:

Provide academic and administrative leadership to the Law School, promoting excellence in teaching, research, and professional service.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the broader objectives of the university and respond to changes in legal education and practice.
  • Oversee the development and revision of curricula, ensuring they meet the highest educational standards and are responsive to the evolving needs of the legal profession.
  • Manage the recruitment, development, and retention of faculty and staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Cultivate relationships with alumni, legal professionals, and other stakeholders to enhance opportunities for collaboration, funding, and employment for students.
  • Represent the Law School within the university and externally in the legal community, enhancing its reputation and visibility.
  • Monitor and manage the school’s budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support its strategic priorities.
  • Encourage a culture of research and scholarship among faculty and students, securing funding and resources to support their initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and continuous improvement of educational practices.
