About the position

A Head Office Accountant / Analyst is required to support executive leadership with financial reporting, analysis, and strategic projects across multiple business divisions, including motor retail, rentals, and property development based in Greenpoint.



Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and relevant financial information to support decision-making.

• Conduct internal audits and ensure proper system integration with point-of-sale platforms.

• Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Prepare and manage daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.

• Audit key financial control areas to ensure compliance and accuracy.

• Extract, compile, and present data in a clear and meaningful format.

• Prepare accounting schedules and supporting documentation.

• Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and provide analytical support for strategic initiatives.

• Review monthly management accounts and assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (SA).

• Newly qualified or experienced candidates will be considered.

• Salary is market-related and dependent on experience.

Skills & Competencies

• Intermediate MS Excel proficiency.

• Experience with Pastel Evolution / SAGE.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience using accounting software and financial reporting tools.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.

• Ability to work with strong personalities and adapt to a dynamic environment.
