About the position
Our client is hiring a Head of Professional Services to lead the strategic and operational delivery of complex, high-impact projects across Africa and multinational regions. This is a senior leadership role focused on driving successful implementations, scaling delivery operations, and ensuring optimal client satisfaction across all project touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the P&L budget for the Professional Services department
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams responsible for delivery, implementation, integration, and support of software solutions
- Oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met
- Collaborate with internal product, engineering, and leadership teams to align project delivery with business strategy
- Strengthen governance frameworks and continuously improve delivery processes and methodologies
- Engage with regional clients at a senior level, ensuring strong relationships and commercial outcomes
Core Competencies:
- Strong project and programme management skills across software implementation and professional services
- Excellent leadership and team development abilities, with a track record of managing high-performing, cross-functional teams
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including C-suite engagement
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract management and profitability tracking
- Deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Ability to operate strategically while remaining detail-oriented and execution focused
- Awareness and compliance of ISO9001, ISO27001, ISO22301, PCI and Daat Protection regulations.
Candidate Profile:
- 10+ years' experience in a professional services or delivery environment, ideally within telecoms or enterprise software
- Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-region project teams
- Proven experience running a P&L
- Strong understanding of African and Middle Eastern market dynamics
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; PMP or similar certifications beneficial
- Comfortable in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with evolving needs and priorities
