About the position
A leading electrical and renewable energy solutions provider is seeking a Head of Procurement to oversee its national procurement operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable organisation, where your leadership and procurement expertise will directly impact business success.
Job Description:
This role is responsible for managing the company’s end-to-end procurement function, ensuring optimal stock availability, cost efficiency, and supplier performance across all branches.
Further responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the national procurement team.
- Creating and executing procurement strategies that align with business goals.
- Analysing stock trends, forecasting needs, and recommending imports.
- Managing supplier relationships and evaluating their performance.
- Ensuring compliance with stock availability targets, ISO standards, and BBBEE requirements.
- Identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product quality.
- Overseeing stock levels, aged stock, and product lifecycle management.
- Supporting audits and ensuring adherence to procurement and legislative policies.
- Driving price efficiency and continuous improvement across all procurement processes.
Minimum Requirements:
- BCom degree
- 5 years of senior procurement management experience.
- Proven experience in team management and strategic procurement planning.
