RESPONSIBILITIES
- The General Business Roles
1.1 Leadership of Back Office Team (Finance, HR and Legal)
- Oversee procurement through the Financial Manager
- Ensure statutory, POPI and PAIA compliance through the Head of Legal
- Ensure Labour Act and OHS compliance through HR
- Oversee recruitment, employee development and retention through HR
1.2 Facilities Management
- Office and landlord management
- Office administration (including reception)
- IT subcontractor management
1.3 Systems and Financial Oversight
- Ensure efficient and optimal use of the SAGE Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Oversee accounting within SAGE
- Manage financial reporting from SAGE
- Oversee financial audit processes
1.4 Compliance and Performance
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Cost control
- Company profit
- Profit per project
- Quality and timeliness of financial reporting
- Back Office employee performance and satisfaction
- Tax compliance
- BBBEE compliance
- Quality and timeliness of financial audits
- Effectiveness of the performance management system
- Quality of facilities management
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum:
- Relevant financial undergraduate qualification
- 8-12+ years' experience in professional services and consulting environment in a combination of finance, legal, and operations roles
- Experience working in a high-performance environment
Strongly Preferred:
- Experience across financial management, legal/commercial coordination, and HR or team leadership
- Professional qualification (CA(SA), MBA, LLB advantageous but not essential)
