About the position

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a seasoned and strategic Human Capital professional to lead the Human Capital Management (HCM) function.

This role is responsible for shaping and driving the people strategy, enabling organisational performance, and fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture aligned to business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Human Capital Management strategy in line with organisational goals
  • Drive execution of the HCM business plan and monitor delivery against strategic objectives
  • Develop, review, and enforce HR policies in line with legislative and governance requirements
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the HCM team, ensuring capability development and succession planning
  • Drive a customer-centric HR service delivery model across the organisation
  • Ensure compliance with labour legislation, governance frameworks, and transformation imperatives
  • Lead change management initiatives and drive diversity and inclusion strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee HR systems, including HRIS and payroll platforms
  • Manage the HCM budget and ensure sound financial governance

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field
  • Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources or Business Management will be advantageous
  • 8-10 years' experience in Human Capital Management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role

Experience & Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, EEA, SDA)
  • Proven track record in HR strategy development and implementation
  • Experience in organisational development, talent management, and change management
  • Exposure to HR operations, including HRIS and payroll systems
  • Experience driving transformation and employment equity initiatives
