About the position
Postion Summary:
The Head of Human Capital will be responsible to provide leadership and manage Human Resources services as well as develop processes and metrics that support organisational goals and objectives. This position is responsible for all aspects of Human Capital Management across the organisation, providing both strategic and tactical guidance whilst ensuring delivery of high standard human capital services within the corporate office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proposes, formulates, and reviews macro-organisational strategies, policies, and implementation plans that relate to people management Drive the growth and development of leaders across the organisation
- Promote employee and organisational development through amongst others, improving skills and knowledge of the organisation, and support for relevant postgraduate and postdoctoral programmes
- Contribution towards the creation of a positive, nurturing, and innovative culture that values diversity and equity in the organisation
- Preparing monthly HR reports
- Managing and driving the full functional HR, as well as managing and implementing Policies and Procedures, focusing on transformation
- Resolve people related issues, settle disputes, and conduct internal investigative procedures in line with NRF policies
- Develops career pathing, succession and talent management policy and strategy and monitors the implementation
- Handling and managing all IR and Labour related responsibilities in the business unit
- Actively participating in relevant corporate programs and initiatives, complying with professional and quality standards, complying with Corporate Policies and Procedures, and acting in a manner consistent with the organisational values and ethical standards
- Developing and implementing innovative and effective human resources and organisational development initiatives and processes in line with the NRF’s mission and vision
- Coach line management on effective on human capital management across the organisation
- Mentor human resource officials and ensure the highest standard of people management within the Provides strategic monitoring of organisational performance and impact; andProvides strategic leadership and people and financial management
- Facilitating the implementation of Employment Equity and Skills Development plans across the organisation and consolidating and monitoring across the organisation
Minimum Qualification:
- Honours Degree / Post Graduate Qualification / Professional Qualification / NQF 8
Minimum Experience:
- A minimum of an honours (NQF Level 8) degree in the field of Human Resources/Industrial Psychology or related field
- At least 10 years’ practical experience in leading the delivery of human resources management services, including organisational change, remuneration and benefits management, Labour relations, performance management amongst others is required
- At least five (10) years’ experience operating at management/ senior management level
- 5 years proven experience in strategic planning, formulation, and execution

Knowledge:

The NRF seeks to appoint an expert in people management, lead an organisational change and design within the corporate services office, on a 5-year fixed term contract. This is a senior position with the incumbent being a member of the Corporate Services leadership team.
